Is your credit card lost or stolen?
For lost or stolen credit cards, please choose from the following options:
- Turn your card off/on and report it as lost or stolen using Online or Mobile BankingAll of our Digital Banking products require an Online Banking login, and in some cases, enrollment into Bill Pay. Terms and conditions are available through Online Banking and must be agreed to before use. Mobile Banking products also require a data plan with a wireless provider. South Carolina Federal Credit Union provides Mobile Banking as a free service. Consult your provider for any fees associated with your mobile web service, such as message and data rates.. Simply log in, click on "Cards," and follow the prompts to close your credit card and request a new one.

Is your debit card lost or stolen?
- Turn your card off and report it as lost or stolen using Online or Mobile Banking. Simply log in and click on "Cards." You may be prompted to call us.
- Call Cardholder Services at (800) 472-3272.
- Once your card has been cancelled, visit a local financial center to receive a new card instantly or a new card will be mailed to you in 7-10 business days. Please check your account to ensure there are no unauthorized transactions.
Do you believe you are a victim of identity theft?
- Retain all relevant information, such as phone numbers from fraudulent calls, emails from suspected scammers and phishing attempts, and anything else that could be helpful in locating the perpetrator.
- Take action immediately and keep detailed records of your phone calls and correspondence. Additionally, keep track of the amount of money and time you spend dealing with issues related to the theft.
- Contact us to close affected accounts. Do the same for any other financial institutions and credit card companies.
- Use My Credit Score to monitor your accounts. Prevent identity theft through free credit monitoring. Watch for things like new accounts being opened, a change in address, or anything else that does not seem normal.

- Notify one of the three major credit bureaus and place a fraud alert on your credit report. Once one credit agency confirms your fraud alert, they will send a request to the other two agencies to do the same, so you do not have to contact all three.
- File a police report. Get a copy of the report to submit to your creditors and others that may require proof of the crime.
- File your complaint with the Federal Trade Commission on their website using the ID Theft Complaint Input Form or call their hotline at (877) 438-4338.
Report cyber crime to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), a joint effort of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Its complaint database links complaints to refer them to the appropriate law enforcement agency for case consideration. The IC3 also uses complaint information to identify emerging trends and patterns.
