About Membership
As a member-owned credit union, we pass our earnings back to our members in the form of higher savings rates and lower loan rates. We do not have stockholders to answer to, only our members. This is the credit union difference. Learn more about South Carolina Federal!
There are many ways a person can become a South Carolina Federal Member through family relationships, employers, geographic areas, or military or member associations. Or you can simply become a member of the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Foundation via a one-time $5.00 membership fee. If that sounds confusing, do not worry! Just give us a call or stop by and we will help you navigate.
