11 Feb 2011

(N. CHARLESTON, S.C.) – February 28, 2011 – South Carolina Federal Credit Union presented a check to MUSC Children’s Hospital for $28,284.  South Carolina Federal members, employees, community members and the credit union as an organization contributed through various campaigns, including the most recent Change Bandits campaign.

“Credit unions have a national partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said South Carolina Federal Credit Union President and CEO Scott Woods.  “Locally, South Carolina Federal is proud to partner with MUSC Children’s Hospital to help raise money to support this vital community resource.”

The Change Bandits campaign ran through the month of January and encouraged credit union members and employees to participate by donating their change to the cause benefitting MUSC Children’s Hospital.

South Carolina Federal sponsors a number of programs throughout the year supporting MUSC Children’s Hospital as part of the national Credit Unions for Kids initiative. Since 1994, South Carolina Federal has raised more than $300,000 for MUSC Children’s Hospital.  The national Credit Unions for Kids initiative has resulted in over $80 million for children’s hospitals across the country.  Learn more about South Carolina Federal’s participation by viewing this video.
