South Carolina Federal Credit Union Sponsors Annual Holiday Drive

(CHARLESTON, S.C.) November 22, 2011 – South Carolina Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a holiday drive to benefit Lowcountry Orphan Relief through December 31.

 

South Carolina Federal Credit Union’s Charleston and Georgetown branches will serve as collection sites for new socks and underwear. The credit union will distribute items received to Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

 

Lowcountry Orphan Relief’s mission is “to provide basic necessities (clothing, school uniforms, shoes, socks, pajamas, underwear, coats, toiletries and school supplies) to children who have been abused or neglected.” Since 2006, they have clothed more than 10,000 children in the Tri-County area.

 

Collection bins for new socks and underwear are available in branch lobbies and at credit union headquarters in North Charleston. For branch locations, visit scfederal.org.
