Thursday, October 10, 2013
(CHARLESTON, S.C.) – October 10, 2013 – An account has been established at South Carolina Federal Credit Union to benefit the residents and businesses effected by the fires that destroyed buildings in historic Georgetown on September 25, 2013.
Donations may be made in branch, until November 25, 2013, and will be contributed to the Georgetown City Fire Department.
Branch staff will also be hosting a bake sale at the Georgetown location, 1701 Highmarket Street, on Friday, October 18 to raise funds. South Carolina Federal Credit Union will be supporting the efforts with an additional gift.
“We are proud to support Georgetown and the plans for a strong and successful rebuild in this time of hardship,” said Debbie Morris, Georgetown branch manager.
