Credit Union CEO to Serve on National Association Committee
(CHARLESTON, S.C.) – July 6, 2012 – Scott Woods, President and CEO of South Carolina Federal Credit Union, has been elected to serve on the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) Committee for the Credit Union National Association.
The Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for planning the trade organization’s annual conference. Recognized as the key event to attend for political impact, credit union networking and industry updates, the GAC also offers a wide array of educational breakout sessions, the industry's largest exhibitor showcase and guest/family programs highlighting Washington's sights.
Currently, Woods serves as chairman of the board of the First Carolina Corporate Credit Union and on the Executive Committee of the board of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the boards for the Palmetto Cooperative Services, LLC, the South Carolina ACH Association and Indirect Lending Services, LLC. Woods also serves on the Community Investment Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
Scott Woods has been President and CEO of South Carolina Federal since 2004. Prior to accepting this role he served as Chief Financial Officer of South Carolina Federal.
