Credit Union Sponsors BIZ Camp for Young Entrepreneurs
Wednesday, July 20, 2011
(N. CHARLESTON, S.C.) – July 20, 2011 –
South Carolina Federal Credit Union partnered with Paul Smith of BIZ Camp to host a free entrepreneur camp for high school students during the week of July 11-15.
High school students in the Charleston area were given the chance to attend a free week-long camp, where they learned about entrepreneurship and the skills needed to run their own businesses. Participating students worked on team projects, class exercises and business plan competitions.
At the end of the week, each student presented his or her business plan to a panel of judges. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three winners to help fund their ideas.
This was the second BIZ Camp that South Carolina Federal sponsored this summer. The first was held in Columbia from June 20-24.
