Bonnie Ciuffo, CPA, CIA

President, SCF Solutions™

Diverse in her knowledge and experience, Bonnie has been called to lead a number of areas throughout her career with South Carolina Federal Credit Union. She transforms vision into reality through sound strategy development. Currently President of SCF Solutions, LLC, she leads a team of Executive Directors for various product lines to include: investments, insurance, benefits, and indirect lending. She has successfully started business units from scratch and made a number of business acquisitions for the company. Bonnie’s leadership and foresight is continually called upon, and she has served on a number of professional and charitable boards.

  • In 2012, the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) named Bonnie “Professional of the Year.”
  • Because her heart leads her to give back to the community, she was instrumental in the creation of the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Foundation, where she continues to serve on the board of directors.

Jim W. Fede

President, Benefit Solutions

Jim joined the SCF Solutions team in 2013 as the President of Benefit Solutions, LLC. With more than 30 years of experience in the employee benefits field, Jim is a master at leveraging his extensive industry knowledge for the benefit of his clients. In 1999, Jim redirected his passion and industry expertise to focus on the creation of his own employee benefit consulting firm, Innova Plan Strategies, LLC. Jim has saved businesses millions of bottom line dollars with a major focus on welfare and defined benefit and defined contribution plans. SCF Solutions purchased Innova Plan Strategies, LLC in late 2013, thereby expanding the means and opportunity for providing high quality, competitive, and needs-based employee benefit products and programs to small businesses and credit unions throughout the Southeast.

As President of Benefit Solutions, Jim continues to negotiate, educate, and advocate for his clients to satisfy their needs and exceed expectations.


Brandon Miller

Employee Benefits Consultant

Brandon is an Employee Benefits Consultant for Benefit Solutions. His roles within the firm include: technology integration, servicing clients, vendor relations, mapping proposal comparisons, and sales. After his professional baseball career with the Washington Nationals, Brandon earned his bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University in 2016 and holds his Life and Health Insurance License as well as series 6 and series 63 securities licenses through CUSO Financial Services, L.P. He is an expert in alternative funding arrangements and holds an accredited National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) Self-Funding Certificate. Brandon also assists clients with HR related issues and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest human resource society. Brandon is available for onsite education and focuses on enhancing employees’ understanding and utilization of their companies’ benefit plans.


Kristin Steen

Client Services Coordinator

Kristen joined the SCF Solutions team in 2013 and spent her first years supporting the life insurance team as a Licensed Coordinator before transitioning to her current role with Benefit Solutions. Her primary responsibilities include: serving as a day-to-day contact for clients, communicating with vendors, issue resolution/problem solving, and project management. Kristen has been in the insurance industry for more than five years and holds a license in life and health insurance through CUSO Financial Services, L.P. She is originally from Long Island, NY and moved to Charleston to attend Johnson and Wales University.
